Will My System Pressure Change As My Hose Length Increases?
As with most pressure wash systems, we don't have the ability to change the pump's flow. But there are many ways in which we can adjust, change or manipulate pressure. Your system can experience a loss in pressure due to the length of your hose. The longer your hose....the greater the loss in pressure.
Beyond the hose length, there are other things that can also restrict flow and affect the PSI as well. As you are building your systems, consider the internal diameter of the hose, the smoothness of the hose and any fittings, and how those items can restrict the flow of water and affect pressure.
In many cases, the amount of pressure lost is negligible and shouldn't be a huge concern. But it is good information to have and to be aware of as you are building or remodeling your systems.
Take a look at the chart below and you be the judge for your system.
